Mike entered metal building construction in 1995 and founded Johnson Construction in 1998. His experience spans self-storage construction, development, ownership, and facility operations nationwide.

Johnson Construction has delivered self-storage construction nationwide since 1998. Family- and veteran-owned, the company has erected more than 21 million square feet for facility owners, developers, and general contractors across every major storage format. Johnson crews build ground-up facilities, expansions, multi-level buildings, climate-controlled storage, and boat and RV projects. Our field work covers structural steel, roof and wall systems, roll-up doors, hallways, siding, trim, and flashing through completion of the building envelope.

Structural steel establishes the frame. Roofing, wall panels, and siding complete the envelope. Roll-up doors and hallway systems define the rentable space. Johnson carries the connected installation scope through completion.

Drive-up, conditioned, multi-level, and oversized vehicle storage each place different demands on the structure and site.
