The facility carries 492 units across 57,205 net rentable square feet of drive-up, interior, and climate-controlled storage, plus another 42,135 square feet of open parking sized for the rigs this market actually owns.

Boat and RV storage construction puts different demands on a site than standard storage-unit construction. Wide turn lanes, deeper bays, taller door openings, and clear vehicle paths shape how the buildings meet the drive aisles, because a customer backing a 40-foot fifth-wheel needs room a sedan never will. Available Storage answers with spaces reaching 12 by 45 feet alongside enclosed units and conventional sizes for household and commercial use.

Johnson Construction built the original facility and its Phase II expansion, working from the approved expansion plan set. Building in phases is its own discipline, because the second phase has to tie into a property that is already open and leasing without disrupting the tenants already on site. The company’s archive documents the office, the storage buildings, the covered access, the interior hallways, the vehicle bays, and the outdoor RV parking.

A large-format storage site is really several building types on one pad. The office and climate-controlled interior are built like a conditioned commercial building, the drive-up rows are pre-engineered metal, and the covered parking is structure sized to clear a raised RV. Pulling those together so they read as one facility is the work behind a project like this.
